The Noisy Miners are one of the most courageous birds of Australia. They will attack any creatures that happen to trespass across their territory including Ravens and Kites. They often coordinate their attacks in large groups. However, intruders are warned first by the loud and continuous calls designed to confuse them. They will even attack other Noisy Miners that are not part of their group.

They feed on nectar as well as insects.

Noisy Miners inhabit woodland areas and can therefore be found throughout the Blue Mountains. Their presence is notified by their calls.
